1+1=3 Talk with Georg Denninger
Georg Denninger is a dedicated group leader in our team. We spoke to him about a BUWOG project:
Which project would you most like to talk about?
The Pfeiffergasse 3 and 5 project, which we were allowed to develop for Buwog and was completed in 2019. The project with a gross floor area of approx. 16,340 m² consists of a T-shaped building containing 128 rental flats and a linear structure with 81 condominiums. The shared underground car park offers 109 parking spaces.
Why? What makes this project special for you?
It was the first project for which I was responsible from the preliminary design to completion and handover to the client. Before the submission at the end of 2016 and the start of construction in autumn 2017, a building including a transformer station first had to be demolished, the plots merged and a new subdivision plan drawn up according to our design idea.
What was the biggest challenge with this building?
There were a few - some bigger, some smaller. But the exciting thing was that the client's aim was to develop a property with rental flats and one with owner-occupied flats, which are similar, but on closer inspection differ in their high-quality, well thought-out detailed solutions.
Who was your most important contact for this project and how would you describe the collaboration?
The most important contact person during the design and approval process was Ms Carola Meixner. Roman Grünwald from the Buwog Group during the construction phase. I would also like to mention the site manager of the general contractor Implenia, Mr Pauer. From the very beginning, the collaboration was characterised by a very relaxed but goal- and result-oriented working atmosphere, which made working on the project a lot of fun.
What generally characterises your contact person in particular?
As already mentioned, the dialogue and working atmosphere in the rather stressful construction industry was always very collegial and relaxed. Even when problems arose, work was always calm and solution-orientated.
