113 Architecture questions - building material of the future?

Building material of the future Asbestos has long since been banned and there are still a number of materials that should actually be on a "red list". Our resources are scarce and not every building material is suitable for the sustainable construction of buildings. Mineral and natural building materials in particular, which require lower cement contents in production, have just as much of a future as those with a small CO2 footprint. Of course, economic efficiency is still a decisive factor - but the primary aim is to minimise emissions during the service life and during sustainable recycling. Of course, wood is also one of the building materials of the future. Wood can be used in a variety of ways, but it is important to pay attention to its origin - if the transport routes are too long, the ecological balance sheet often looks less attractive. Recycled building materials, which are obtained from primary building materials such as concrete or glass, are becoming ever better and increasingly available. More and more textile building materials are being used for sun protection, which offer the necessary level of transparency and shading and are also highly recyclable.
