one and one is three - Gerd Hammerl - Amin Abdel-Kader - Genochplatz
We live "one and one is three". Together with our clients, we create buildings that put people and their needs at the centre. Working together with our clients as equals and in constructive co-operation is particularly important to us.
What was special for you about the architecture and design of the building on Genochplatz?
Gerd Hammerl: "One of the special features of the Genochplatz 1 project was that it was the first high-rise building in Vienna to be realised by C&P Immobilien AG. A free-standing landmark building with impressive views, visible from afar, on the site of the historic Genochmarkt. The suspended aluminium façade, which wraps around the first two upper floors like a golden ribbon, lends the building a sense of lightness and is an eye-catcher that continues through the lobby and into the interior."
Mr Hammerl, what do you think particularly characterises the collaboration with Hawlik Gerginski?
"Our long-standing collaboration with Hawlik Gerginski is characterised by great trust and a spirit of partnership. As general planners, Hawlik Gerginski not only impress with their expertise in all the necessary specialist disciplines, but also understand perfectly how to combine the complex requirements of a property project development with excellent architecture."
You worked with Amin Abdel-Kader and Tuba Cetindag during the planning phase. How would you describe the collaboration?
"Together with Mr Amin Abdel-Kader and Tuba Cetindag, we succeeded in optimising a planning project that had already been granted planning permission to such an extent that C&P Immobilien AG's high expectations of the investment flat product were met to the greatest possible extent. Efficiently planned, compact floor plans that meet the need for smaller, sensibly designed residential units."
Amin Abdel-Kader:
"As Gerd Hammerl described above, C&P took over the approved building project on Genochplatz and, in an extremely constructive and inspiring process, we jointly adapted the project to C&P standards.
C&P's many years of experience with investor flats resulted in a reorganisation of the project and the fortunate case in which a project became even better to everyone's satisfaction through further revision and redesign. C&P's understanding of the importance of aesthetics and design gave us the opportunity to do justice to the prominent location of the building in the design. This was ultimately confirmed by the fact that the redesigned flats were very well received and everyone is happy to be part of this prestigiously designed property and would like to have it as their home address. The synergy of a successful collaboration."
