No. 60: “Marshall Berman,” by Evgeni Gerginski.
Marshall Berman was an American philosopher and urbanist. He was deeply interested in modernity and often compared it to postmodernity. He used the theories of Karl Marx as the foundation for his later work and drew parallels between the writings of renowned philosophers and the social life of their time. Together with Michael Sorkin, he taught at City College in New York, where Evgeni himself had the opportunity to attend and be inspired by some of his lectures.
