Why do we call ourselves generalists?
Why do we call ourselves generalists?
In order to answer this question, the terminology of the term "generalist" must first be defined. Generalists are those companies or people who have a breadth of knowledge in many different areas. In contrast to specialists, they are not limited to a specific area, but have a wide range of different skills and can therefore take on a variety of tasks or coordinate specialists.
We call ourselves generalists because we can assume overall responsibility for the entire planning and supervision of a construction project. This option brings many advantages for the client. A general planner is the only contractual partner for the client and thus reduces the administrative workload for them. As part of general planning, planning services from other specialist areas are provided by subcontractors. It is extremely important to be able to rely on a reliable and competent team and we select them on a project-specific basis. In addition to the complete planning process, as a generalist we can also take on local construction supervision. This means monitoring the construction of a building project until it is handed over to the client. To summarise, as a general planner, we can take on the entire planning, coordination and supervision from A to Z.
Even in the past, it was not easy to realise a construction project, as many specialist disciplines had to work together. Nowadays, the complexity of construction projects continues to increase. It's not just about cost-effectiveness, but also about technology paired with sustainability. It's not just about rapid completion, but also about the quality and workmanship of the materials and, ultimately, about aesthetics. For this reason, it makes sense to have an experienced general planner at your side, especially for large-scale projects.
The large number of different building types we have already realised makes us a versatile generalist. In addition to a large number of residential construction projects, we can also offer general planning services for commercial buildings, logistics operations, garages, accommodation facilities and other asset classes. Our experience ranges from new builds and conversions to the addition of large-volume construction projects.
