113 Architecture questions - What is the "Golden Circle"?
What is the "Golden Circle"?
The Golden Circle is a leadership concept by Simon Sinek: "People don't buy what you do. They buy why you do it." According to Sinek, all organisations know WHAT they do and most also know HOW they do it. But only very few know WHY they do it. The order of the three questions is important. Most companies focus on the what, i.e. the product. However, it would make more sense to ask why, i.e. the core purpose of something or, on a personal level, the motivation and passion behind one's own actions.
WHY - the purpose
Why do we as a company actually do what we do? What goals are we pursuing?
HOW - the process
How do we achieve our goals? How do we differentiate ourselves from others?
WHAT - the result
What do we offer? What do we do differently from the others
Our vision and our corporate goals take up this concept and together we try to realise them.
Why do we work? We work together to create better living spaces and thus realise our vision.
How do we work? We always focus on the needs of our customers. Our values (trust, expertise, joy, creativity and efficiency) and guiding principles help us to do this.
What do we do? We plan living spaces, i.e. buildings and open spaces.
