What does the exchange of experience among employees look like?
Experience usually means having experienced something yourself and having gained "experience" in the process. The work on the project itself is an experience, insofar as the passing on of the finished product also represents an exchange of experience. Participation in a seminar is an exchange of experience, whereby a person can also pass on this experience to other people.
In principle, it is desirable in the working environment that not every employee has to start from scratch, so it is important to create a culture of communication that facilitates the exchange of experience. This naturally includes the role model function that experienced employees have towards newcomers.
A classic obstacle to the transfer of knowledge is, of course, competitive thinking. Anyone who fears being overtaken and/or taken advantage of will not let go of their wealth of experience. Of course, this is wrong thinking - in reality, it should be about sharing experience so that everyone can learn from everyone else. In our architecture firm, there are many different employees with different levels of experience in and with very different areas, so an exchange of experience is desirable in all directions.
The exchange of experience can take place via different channels:
1. the office manual "Welcome to Hawlik Gerginski Architekten" and office standards
2. jour fixe meetings
3. team meetings
4. informal discussions
5. sample projects
6. project templates
7. exchange of contacts (e.g. e-mail)
8. discussions about interpretation or the finer points of the OIB, standards and building regulations
9. e-mails
10. team building events
