The project by **HUSS HAWLIK** and hutterreimann Landschaftsarchitektur (Berlin) emerged as the winner of an invited competition. While retaining the organisation of the flowing traffic, an open space concept was developed that encapsulates the principles of "sharing the city fairly". Generous pavements and cycle paths provide access to the new Liesinger Anger. A glass roof covers the market square and a lift tower provides access to the higher park level. The public were informed about the construction project at public information events and were able to contribute ideas to the plans.
